Rumours of ShareSniffer's demise, it seems, were exaggerated. I have heard absolutely nothing from the general public or the powers that be at ShareSniffer, but on poking my nose into their website today (just to see if anything had happened), I note that everything is back to normal. I can find no mention of their, shall we say, "temporary outage". Maybe someone forgot to pay the domain registration bill, but if so then it took them a bit of a while to notice.

In any case, move along please: there's nothing to see here. They're still using the same "rentware" model and all that sort of thing, and they're not popular enough yet that the RIAA has given them the Napster treatment.
