ShareSniffer: missing, presumed dead Entry id: sharesniffer

I've written two commentaries related to a program called "ShareSnifffer": Peer to Peer Takes an Interesting Twist and Sniffing Out Trouble. As of about a week ago, it came to my attention that the ShareSniffer.com website is listed as being up for auction, and the company itself appears to have vanished without a trace.

I've attempted to contact Kerry Rogers (ShareSniffer author, with whom my past dealings are documented in Sniffing Out Trouble), but so far to no avail. Did they take my advice as a cue to pack it in and call it quits, or is this more a matter of natural attrition? Did they hit legal difficulties? I have no idea, but I'll post the information here if I find out about it.
