Despite appearances, I'm still here Entry id: misc-20020403

Somehow I managed to go the whole of March without writing another log entry. Despite appearances, I'm still here, and still churning out verbiage. It just so happens that it's all thesis-related verbiage, and thus won't be published here until after the university gets a bite at it. Current thesis weight stands at slightly more than thirty thousand words, so I've been averaging about ten thousand words a month.

Section two is now a complete first draft, and I'm getting psychologically prepared for the dive into section three, which is where the story really starts. I'd originally allocated one month to each of sections one, two, and four, with two months for section three. Section one took slightly more than a month, and section two took slightly longer than section one, for a grand total of approximately three months for the first two sections. I certainly hope that two months was an overestimate when it comes to section three.

In the meantime, my ADSL modem has arrived, and I've now been billed for a couple of months usage, despite not having yet plugged it in. Progress on anything other than thesis is virtually non-existant. Such, as I sometimes say, is life in the farce lane.
